Masjid Mode: Distraction Guard ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy specifically addresses the data collection and usage required by Google Play policies for Android users.

1. Location Data Collection and Usage

Why We Collect Location Data:
Masjid Mode: Distraction Guard uses location data to provide its core "Geofencing" feature. This feature automatically activates "Masjid Mode" (which silences your phone and blocks distracting apps) when you physically enter the boundaries of a designated Mosque.

Background Location Access:
To ensure your phone is seamlessly silenced as soon as you enter a Mosque, Masjid Mode: Distraction Guard collects location data even when the app is closed or not in use. Without background location access, the app would not be able to detect your arrival and trigger the automatic silencing feature reliably.

Data Privacy and Sharing:
Your location data is used strictly locally on your device to trigger the Geofence. We do not store your location history, we do not upload your continuous location to our servers, and we never share or sell your location data to third parties or advertisers.

2. Other Information We Collect

Masjid Mode is designed with privacy in mind. The application does not require account creation and does not collect personal messages, photos, or private user content. We may collect limited information such as:

• Device Information: Device type, OS version, and crash reports to improve app stability.
• Advertising Data: Because we use Google AdMob to display advertisements, Google may collect your device's Advertising ID, IP address, and interaction data to serve relevant ads.
• Anonymous Analytics: Non-personally identifiable data on how features are used to help us improve the app.

3. Sensitive Permissions Usage

Masjid Mode requires certain sensitive Android permissions to provide its core distraction-blocking features:

• Location (Foreground and Background): To automatically detect when you arrive at a Mosque and trigger "Masjid Mode".
• Do Not Disturb (DND) Access: To silence calls and notifications during your prayer or worship sessions.
• App Usage Access (PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS): To detect when you open a distracting app during a restricted session, so it can be blocked.
• Display Over Other Apps (SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW): To display our custom block screen (Shield) over the distracting apps you try to open.
• Query Installed Apps: To generate a list of apps currently installed on your device so you can manually select which ones to block.
• Alarms & Reminders: To schedule accurate prayer time notifications.

All of the above permissions are used strictly locally on your device to facilitate the distraction-blocking features. We do not transmit your app usage history, installed apps list, or DND status to our servers or to third parties.

4. Third-Party Services

Masjid Mode may use trusted third-party services such as Google Play Billing for subscription processing, and Google AdMob for advertisements. These providers operate under their own privacy policies. We do not share your precise location data with these services.

5. Your Rights

You may stop data collection at any time by uninstalling the application or revoking the Location permission in your Android device settings.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in Google Play guidelines or our features. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised date.
